Yep Sophie, I see that Carolyn is slackin'

Oh my gosh, I cant believe that even more. he expects your dogs to be all by themselves???? that is so sad and mean. They LOVE You and DH. That would hurt their feelings so bad. They want to be where you are at all times. Especially if they here you and other people. That is just NOT acceptable. :(

When Mollie or Charlie start coming around while we are eating we just tell them to lay down and stop begging. They lay down and it is fine. We dont tell them they are bothering us or tell them to go awaay....so mean....

love to sign on and read-read-read!!! is my lunchtime entertainment  and i HAD to add my 2 cents to the conversation cuz we also have a "doggy-child".....his name is murphy...he will be 3 on 12/23.....and he is def part of the family!!! we have similar issues when we go out of town as far as where to keep him cuz our family is nowhere near us and so not an option to have them sit for him....we have found a decent doggy kennel not too far from us.....but speaking of doggy kennels --- so with dh being out of job......i had this brill idea that we (he and i....but he would mostly run it) build/open/operate a doggy hotel of our own!!!!! and ya know how they say "location-location-location"..... yeah well --- there is an empty farm field right next door to our vet that i think would be the PERFECT place cuz EVERYBODY asks their ver for referral on where pets can stay??? how cool would it be to basically have instant customers cuz of location??? is all just ideas at this point.... haven't even shared w/ dh cuz i'm afraid he might well have a heart attack at the thought of spending (investing) money that we don't have... haven't figured that one out yet --- the how to finance it part..... but i've been mullin over for some time now.......not sure it will ever come to pass -- but sure is fun to think about!!!!!

wretched boss ---- thought she wasn't going to be here at all today... i was wrong......must go now --- she calling!!!

Hello girlies!

Miracle!
Oh, please don't start naming personal-forgetting "Sophies"! Gah!!!!

So, what decorations will you make tonight? Sounds like such a fun night! We usually spend our Friday nights taking it easy and renting a DVD. We're slowly going through the last season of Desperate Housewives... we both love that series! And we'll also go to the vet tonight for the annual visit (ouch wallet!) for our cat Moïra and our girl Daria. We'll also bring our boy, beacause I found the YUCKIEST pus on the tip of his penis this week... We have no idea what that was... it was creamy, ivory... his penis was in, so it was in the foreskin... go figure, we didn't know if it was an infection or... sperm? Really weird. Never reappeared during the rest of the week. Weird weird weird.. And of course everyone will have their claws cut, so no more noise in the house! LOL sometimes it's SO SCARY.... LOL they cut it really nicely short, and then the dogs make NO NOISE at all when they walk around. I swear it takes me a few heart attacks to get used to it... you mind your own business and then turn around and SURPRISE! the dog is right there!

Ah, Miracle, lol, I can see you're one hen mommy as we say here! A very protective mama with her furbabies! ;) Oh, I can talk, they melt my heart each time they look at me.

Hey Angie! Good to have you around! I LOVE the idea of opening a dog hotel!!! We played with it for a while ourselves... now that people are working more and more hours, and that the number of stay-at-home moms is decreasing, there is a real need for that kind of service. Location is indeed the key my dear, and that field looks perfect! If you want, I could give you the number of the kennel we go to. I mean, she is a very successful business owner, and I'm sure she could give you appropriate advice. It's not like you'll steal her profits! ;) She doesn,t have a website, unfortunately...

But in addition to being a hotel, she also offers, you know, spa services for your animals. Which is a plus, because sometimes when we leave the dogs there, we ask them to cut their claws. They have a separate house for the cats, and another one for the dogs, far away down the field. There is a first room when you come in; that where they store the dog's food and toys and such. Then you open another door and the boxes are there. They have three walls and a fenced door; the walls are quite high, 6 feet or so, but they don't reach to the ceiling so the dogs don't feel so caged in. At the end of that room, there's a door that leads to a corridor of fences. Those lead to open fields, delimited by high fences that the dogs can't jump. And they pair the dogs that way, two by two, and they let them out to play and poop and whatnot three times an hour, and half an hour before bedtime. Believe me, the dogs have so much fun socializing that they miss us, but they're not traumatized at all.

My husband says that, should he change his career or quit his job or if the research center closes, he would consider running a shelter/hotel like that with me. We'd LOVE it! You should really start calculating and make a business plan... I'm sure your husband would feel more comfortable if you presented the idea with a clear plan... ;)

But you're right, either way, it's fun to think about it!

Okay ladies! Time for me to work a little before a meeting at 2pm! Take care!

Hey girls!!!

Angie that is such a fantastic idea!!! It is the perfect job!!!! I mean I am sure it would have ups and downs like any job but it would be so much fun. Your idea for the location sounds awesome too!!! I can tell you have been really thinking about it.

Yep Sophie! I am a mother hen!!! But that is ok. I dont mind. I wish my dh would watch dvds with me. He sucks. He hardly ever will watch a movie! Well we are putting the tree up and all that good stuff!!!

Hi guys!

Super quick note! I'm about to leave the hospital! WOOHOO!!! It's Friday!!! YAY!

Miracle sweetie, have fun with your decorations and all-girl shopping spree! And tell us all about it on Monday! :D

Angie dearest, I don't know what happened, but we watched the first episode and we were both hooked! My husband HATES chicks for flicks and he is quite picky when it comes to what he watches. Go figure, we both fell in love with that series and we've been watching it since. Our other pics are House, Bones, The Office, Lost (but we lost interest after the 3rd season). 24 is very manly, but we both can't stand it! My husband ADORED Six feet under, but he started watching it without me, so I couldn't go through it with him. But we're both interested to give Dexter a chance next... It's just fun to rent that on DVD, no commercials, you watch two on Friday and another two episodes on Saturday evening... not too long, not too short, plus you have the thrill of waiting until the following week to watch the next episodes... ;)

Okay, gotta go to the train station, grab that baguette and GO HOME! Weeeeee! take care ladies!

We dont have that done hun ... but i purchased loads of pee sticks (just 99p for a pk of 2) from chemist - really crap basic ones - but im deff still pregnant, it shows up on those as soon as i pee lol (even in the evening pee too lol) Had to do that for my own sanity, my scan isnt until Jan 5th (i will be 9 weeks by then) seems an age to have to wait that long ... so i will keep peeing till then lol

Anyway ladies,

How are u all .... i see the site becomes very active during the week (when u lot are at work lol) i have been trying to keep up, but u go so quick lol ... are all ur xmas decorations up?? Mine are - i just love xmas ladies, DD is comming home from Uni next week too .... it will be great to have her home full time .... we are down MIL's for xmas dinner this year, so that should be fun. I just hope i get thru the day without puking lol .. ..

Any ideas ladies on what i can get DH for xmas????? Im stumped really, he says he doesnt want anything in particular, but i do like to get him summit nice. Maybe i'll just get lots of wee little things and put them in a stocking for him? What are u ladies doing for your DH's for xmas???

Xxxxx
