Hello lovelies!!!
yay, the thread is buzzing with posts again!!! ACK and the internet police spotted me!

:D
Carolyn,
Aw, man! So sorry that you guys are sick! WOW, after the nasty side effects, the accident, now this... poor thing! *HUGS* Sorry about the mix-up; the "topic review" is to blame, I thought I was still reading your post but I had scrolled to Angie's!

I agree with Angie by the way, the timing for ET seems like everything is falling into place perfectly!

my own FET was just a few days before my b-day, and the test was the day after DH's b-day...

Look what happened! Sure wish the same applies to you girlie! It's written in the stars!

:D:D
Lee,
Hi girlie! So, are you tired this week as you expected? You crazy girl, running on adrenaline all week long last week, and expecting 6 tornadoes this week! whew!! So I'm curious, how does it work exactly? Some children just sleep for one night and then they go elsewhere? Geez, the atmosphere must be quite peculiar at times, no? As for the dog walk, we didn't do it; I had forgotten that DH had an apt with a physiotherapist at 2pm on Saturday. He's been suffering from back pain and two docs didn't find his problem and only prescribed anti-inflammatory meds. So the physio found that one of his lumbar vertebraes had moved slightly to the side and was pinching a nerve... OUCH

He did some physio, the vertebrae apparently moved back into place and he felt way better right away... except that now, the pain has moved south and he's now suffering from lower back pain; he'll go back this afternoon. Red velvet cake is basically a red cake with a slight aroma of chocolate and vanilla. It's traditionally served during the holidays in the US and probably in the english-speaking part of Canada. I thought it was perfect for V-Day! I used this recipe:

I used my flower-shaped cake mold, and it was quite lovely. I think the cake could look just as pretty in a bundt mold with a very runny white frosting drizzled on top. Keeping everything crossed for AF babe, just give us a sign if you need some jigging!
OH, ANGIE! Darn, I'm really looking forward to hearing about your reaction to the youtube video... lol! You'll see, it's catchy! We'll see who laughs about the uncheese after that!

By the way, didn't do any fondue this weekend; DH had made a reservation in a new restaurant close to home. We had a great meal there. LOL glad your DSS is bouncing right back... ahem, man-whore at 15? Talk about sexually active! I'm sure his dad is thrilled!

Awwww, that cake sounded fabulous! Was it good at least? What kind of week lies ahead for you?
As for me, I had a quiet weekend. DH gave me a nice plate of baklava on Friday evening for V-day (I absolutely refuse to receive flowers or even a card on that day because they're so expensive!) and I stuffed my face on it big time... even took one during the night, lol! And I gave him smoked almonds, chocolate-covered coffee beans, chocolate-covered pretzels and sugar peanuts. We started watching the Dexter series. Intriguing, and the basic concept of the series chills you to the bone. Nothing much to report other than that; I did some knitting, the usual chores on Saturday... and DH needs to improve his aim, because I had to wash the sheets again on Sunday, lol!
Okay, patient coming in soon, I'll have to go. But I'll be around, in and out.
Take care ladies,
Sophie xxox
