Are we doing AF jig or will she behave herself?

Sounds like you are going to have a hectic week - how many children will you have in total or do they come and go ? - it must be quite difficult in that you can't plan ahaead ?

I love to read too - the trashier the novel the better - only read when on holiday though as once I pick up a book I can't put it down!!

Anyone else about ??

Hi Carolyn

Will let you know about the AF jig, maybe start it on Weds for me if she has not arrived!!

We have 6 children altogether this week but they are coming and going so not all in one go thank goodness!!

Sometimes it can be difficult but I can always say no if I have something planned that children will not be able to fit round. Fortunately I have an amazing family who are quite used to me turning up with the odd child or two!!

HI GIRLS!! i see carolyn and lee are busy-little-bees already today!!! but i forget that when i log in (first thing in the a.m.) -- you guys have a few hours on us!!!

ooooohhhhh carolyn ---- not the man-flu!!!!!! did your dh wait on you hand and foot??? if anything like my dh (bless his heart) --- he thinks he's doing me a really great thing when he simply "leaves me alone"..... gotta love em!!! SO EXCITING that you got your schedule!!!!!!!! and do you know yet whether or not dh will be available at that date?? or will he already be on his trip to saudi?? (or maybe i'm not remembering correctly)..... and a day before your anniversary ---- IT IS MEANT TO BE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and lee......i've about done the same thing as carolyn --- called you "sara" on account of your screen name --- whats up with that anyway??? (the story behind your screen name).....mine is pretty uneventful ----- ICSI GIRL ---- when i first started all of this, i of course thought that i must be the "only person" to ever experience such a crazy procedure (as if!!!!).....so there ya have it --- there's the story behind my creative (or not) screen name!!! ha, ha!! sounds like you'll be busy this week.....HAVE FUN!!!

soph --- didn't have a chance to look at the youtube link ya posted for me... and unable to at work -- they block all that stuff out --- actually, amazed that i can still get here to the posting boards!!! how was your UNcheese fondue!!!??????? and yes, the dss belongs to me..... and he seems to be "bouncing right back" ---- he says he has his eye on another little gal, but doesn't want to be a (wait for it...............) "man-whore" --- is that too funny or what????!!! oh to be 15 again (not in a million!!!)

mir --- school must be taking all your extra play time that you used to have at work??? miss ya girl!! hope all is well.......

angel.......******THINKING OF YOU***********

and to all my other gals --- a big hello!!!

oh and yes -- carolyn, we celebrate valentines day over here as well..... is very much a hallmark holiday -- but a good excuse for a little romance... my dh made me a chocolate cake w/ choc frosting with a giant red frosting heart on top!!! i was so impressed!!! and other than a little BCABB (goes with the territory ya know??) --- we just chilled out at home..... my dss's were w/ their mom this weekend and so was just us and our doggy!!! and still chilly-willy outside, so we shacked up indoors... and here it is monday again!!!

Yes Dh will be back from saudi - he is back on 28th and think we will need to go to pargue on 1/2 April - so it is all falling in to place :D :D

yes -- still busy this week..... :? but like you -- having terribly difficult time kicking myself into high gear this morning at work..... WAY more interested in water cooler talk of what everybody did this weekend!!!

yeah, since you guys taught me that word --- i just like using it (MAN FLU) --- so while it may not really be "man flu" --- i think it's a whole lot of fun to say it!!!!! (such a retard!!!)

Hello lovelies!!!

yay, the thread is buzzing with posts again!!! ACK and the internet police spotted me! :D:D

Carolyn,
Aw, man! So sorry that you guys are sick! WOW, after the nasty side effects, the accident, now this... poor thing! *HUGS* Sorry about the mix-up; the "topic review" is to blame, I thought I was still reading your post but I had scrolled to Angie's! ;) I agree with Angie by the way, the timing for ET seems like everything is falling into place perfectly! :) my own FET was just a few days before my b-day, and the test was the day after DH's b-day... ;) Look what happened! Sure wish the same applies to you girlie! It's written in the stars! :D:D:D

Lee,
Hi girlie! So, are you tired this week as you expected? You crazy girl, running on adrenaline all week long last week, and expecting 6 tornadoes this week! whew!! So I'm curious, how does it work exactly? Some children just sleep for one night and then they go elsewhere? Geez, the atmosphere must be quite peculiar at times, no? As for the dog walk, we didn't do it; I had forgotten that DH had an apt with a physiotherapist at 2pm on Saturday. He's been suffering from back pain and two docs didn't find his problem and only prescribed anti-inflammatory meds. So the physio found that one of his lumbar vertebraes had moved slightly to the side and was pinching a nerve... OUCH   He did some physio, the vertebrae apparently moved back into place and he felt way better right away... except that now, the pain has moved south and he's now suffering from lower back pain; he'll go back this afternoon. Red velvet cake is basically a red cake with a slight aroma of chocolate and vanilla. It's traditionally served during the holidays in the US and probably in the english-speaking part of Canada. I thought it was perfect for V-Day! I used this recipe:

http://www.marthastewart.com/recipe/mon ... elvet-cake

I used my flower-shaped cake mold, and it was quite lovely. I think the cake could look just as pretty in a bundt mold with a very runny white frosting drizzled on top. Keeping everything crossed for AF babe, just give us a sign if you need some jigging! ;)

OH, ANGIE! Darn, I'm really looking forward to hearing about your reaction to the youtube video... lol! You'll see, it's catchy! We'll see who laughs about the uncheese after that! ;) By the way, didn't do any fondue this weekend; DH had made a reservation in a new restaurant close to home. We had a great meal there. LOL glad your DSS is bouncing right back... ahem, man-whore at 15? Talk about sexually active! I'm sure his dad is thrilled! Awwww, that cake sounded fabulous! Was it good at least? What kind of week lies ahead for you?

As for me, I had a quiet weekend. DH gave me a nice plate of baklava on Friday evening for V-day (I absolutely refuse to receive flowers or even a card on that day because they're so expensive!) and I stuffed my face on it big time... even took one during the night, lol! And I gave him smoked almonds, chocolate-covered coffee beans, chocolate-covered pretzels and sugar peanuts. We started watching the Dexter series. Intriguing, and the basic concept of the series chills you to the bone. Nothing much to report other than that; I did some knitting, the usual chores on Saturday... and DH needs to improve his aim, because I had to wash the sheets again on Sunday, lol!

Okay, patient coming in soon, I'll have to go. But I'll be around, in and out.

Take care ladies,

Sophie xxox

So Carolyn have you been distracted enough working from home today??
No I didn't go for the accupuncture as I was so busy did not have time to ring but when I read your post it reminded me so I rang straight after reading and left a message on her phone, waiting for her to call back.
Everything is falling into place perfectly with DH being home just at the right time so will you both fly over for the ER and then stay until the ET?

Angie as far as my screen name goes pretty boring!!! I was on here for my first IVF cycle with Carolyn as it goes!!! We were on the same thread. As I have no imagination I just signed on with a screen name as Lee, when it all failed the second time and I took some time to come to terms with things as you do..... I didn't visit for a while then when I tried to come back I couldn't remember my password!!! So as I am the girl with no imagination and obviously could not come back on as Lee as the screen name was taken BY ME!!!! I used my middle name instead which happens to be Sara and 30 is the age I would still like to be!!

Hi Sophie, don't feel too bad this week as caught up with lots of sleep over the weekend, staying in bed it was valentines if you know what I mean
As for my six little tornados this week, I have a couple staying over for a couple of nights a couple staying just for the day time and our girly who lives here and I also have my friends daughter through the holidays to help her out for a couple of days as well, so it all fits together to make the week a full one. So respite (the overnight stays) and some day care children who happen to be in foster care so they come to me rather than a regular childminder. Yes the energy in our house can shift and change each day depending on who is in or out so I 'clean' it and it goes back to normal again ALL FUN........
Sorry to hear about DH back pain, suffered with it myself a few years ago and it is the most chronic excrutiating pain that cannot be described. Nerve pain as well tell him he has my deepest sympathies!!! That was my first brush with accupuncture funnily enough I was an out patient at the hospital for 2 years having it, I swore by it nothing else worked except that but mine was more to do with inflamation rather than misplaced vertebrae!! Hope he has more success this afternoon.
I checked out the red velvet cake, will have a go I think its looks lushhh!!!

You know going to have the children week more often have had loads of time today!!! My little one is full of cold so is being very lethargic today which is good for me as he is usually a complete whirlwind!!! Not so good the cold tho I think he feels a bit under the weather, poor thing......

Ok may see you later

Lee xxxxx

no-no-no sophie ------- he talks a big talk, but i am VERY proud to report that both of my dss's (15 & 17) are still virgins.....and no - my dh would not be "thrilled" to think he's f*&#ing aroud like that (it's ok for daddy to have a little play time w/ step-mummy  ) .....i have good boys, no -- i have GREAT boys and i'm not one of those parents "oblivious" to what's "really going on" -- i am very in tune w/ them..... we have extremely open/communicative environment when it comes to sex (and all that goes with) --- our dinner table discussion would probably offend most people as more times than not, it somehow or another involves the word PENIS....(big surprise --- 3 guys in the house!!!) i think the term "man-whore" in this situation is comparable to how teenagers say "we're going out" ---- when, they really don't "go" anywhere!!! man-whore to him simply meant having his eye on another girl and what his friends would think if he openly admitted to having this secret crush so soon after the big break up.......all very innocent -- trust me on this one.............

hiya

How spooky is that - my first encounter with accupuncture was when I had a prolap[sed disk about 4 years ago - pre IVF I had a huge aversion to needles but it really did work - I too would never have believed that back pain could be so bad - I just always though - yeh right your just putting it on - no way - I could not even pull my knickers down to go to the loo  - so all my sympathy is with Dh Sophie - is he a good patient ??

Lee - yes - got distracted enough - then went for physio for my tennis elbow  and then to the gym - now ready for bed as got long day tomorrow  We will plan to be in prague for ER and then stay about a week I think - although docs said could fly day after but I want to rest up for at least 3 days after.

Ang - your post about dinner talk cracked me up - these boys are all talk aren't they !! - my friend is really open with her 2 boys and the youngest has just started sex education at school - he is 8 - so over tea one day last week he was asking all the questions .. and explaining what he had learnt .. that when a boy reaches puberty his willy grows and lots of white stuff comes out when you ejaculate - excet he could not say ejaculate and said exagerrate -s he was like  he was alos telling her that did she know she ahd a vagina !!! - priceless

Mir - hope your ok and your visit to see your friend went ok - hope she is improving as we speak - hugs to our busy student lawyer xxx

Angel - hope all ok xx

Becky - as always thinking of you xxx

catch youa ll soon - unless anyone still out to play !!!

Hello everyone!!!!!!!!!!!! Boy have I missed you all sooo much. I am terribly sorry for not posting sooner. I have just been swamped!!
Work has been very busy and with school and my friend, well I havent had much time. Jennifer (my sick friend) isnt doing any better...she was doing great last Thursday but she is having brain spasms. Doctors say it is normal for people to have them after an anyerisum (sp??). But they also said that the spasms are more damaging to her now then the actual anyerisum. SO I am completely numb right now. I spent the weekend with her. She knows I am there. I hold her and and watch her sleep. They have her sadated. They have to keep her like that until they get the spasms under control. I am going back to the hospital Thursday night. I am staying untill Sunday. Thank you girls, for all of your thoughts and prayers for my friend. She needs all the prayers she can get. I just cant loose her. She and I have been friends for over 18 years...this devestates me.

School is going well. This past week has been really hectic for my school work. Between the hospital vists and everything, I have to work harder to keep up. I am taking my laptop to the hospital with me so I can talk to you girls and work on homework!

DH and I didnt really do anything for Valentine's Day. I think it is bogus. I rather him buy me a card of flowers on a day that he isnt "supposed" to buy them. He did buy me a card, candy, and one rose. But we dont go all out.

Man Wishfull, so sorry to hear how sick you have been. And a root canal!! I have had 3!!! Have you ever had one before?

Hi Angie!! You crack me up about your DSS!!! MAN WHORE!!! Too funny!!!

Sophie, you are such a sweetie. You and DH had a lovely Valentines Day. You sound like the perfect homemaker. How is your friend?? How far along is she know??

Hi Lee!!! Gosh, down reggin' already...where has the time gone??

Where is Angel? Did I miss something?? Did she say she was taking a break? MISS YOU ANGEL!!!

Thinking of you Becky.

Ok, I will check back in a little bit. LOVE YOU GIRLS!!!

oh Mir - sounds like you are having a tough time at the moment - it is always so difficult to see those we care about in such horrible situations - and nothing we can do or say can make things any better - sending you huge hugs and the strength to support your friend - will keep you both in my prayers xxx

Ang - where are you ???

Sophie - where are you ??

Lee - obviously still running round the park with her hareem of kids

Angel /Becky - ((())) xx

Nothing to report much this end - long busy day at work and need a overnight pass please for tomorrow - at meeting with overnight stay so will have no access to boards till late Thursday night

Will be around for a bit now though before soak in bath and early night
