Hi Ladies! Sorry I haven't been able to post an update since my delivery, but I've been busy with Mommy Duty.
Zariya Aiyanna (pronounced Zar-ree-ya I-yanna) was born Feb 10th at 8:49am at a whopping 6lbs 4oz via c-section. She came out butt first with her legs spread eagle.

I was very nervous during the c-section...I've never been awake during surgery before. But, it turned out better than I'd expected. I kept vomitting the rest of the day and was tired from the anesthesia, but felt much better the next day. I was in the hospital for 3 days, but by the time I got home, I became really sick. I was constipated for a week from the pain meds, suffered with cold spells and chills. On top of that, I had the Baby Blues, which lasted a day....I just kept crying all day for no reason. Thank God it only lasted a day. I'm feeling much better now, but I still get cold spells and chills from time to time. A part of my incision still hasn't healed because of a blood clot under the skin. It keeps draining blood and fluid. I have to see the OB once a week to make sure infection doesn't set in while it's healing. I'm trying to breastfeed, but my milk supply is low, so I have to supplement with formula. I never thought breastfeeding could be so difficult.
Zariya is doing great. She went down to 5lbs 14oz when we bought her home, but she's gaining her weight back now. She's a really good baby...she doesn't cry much, sleeps a lot, and knows how to let you know she's had enough to eat by clinching her lips.

It's hard to believe she's already 2wks old. She's truly a blessing...God's gift to me. I've always been told that there's nothing like a mother's love for her child and now I know exactly how that feels.
Neffi, OMG, I can't believe Jack is a month old already! Wow, time flies!
Crogers, I loved the videos....the first one was a tear-jerker, but beautiful and a nice keepsake. I'm so busy with one baby, I can't imagine taking care of twins.
I've seen everyone's pics that were posted. Ladies, your babies are beautiful!
For those of you who are still waiting to have your little bundle of joy, it won't be long now. The time will be here before you know it, and after that, the days will fly by fast. In the meantime, get as much rest as possible, because there will be no such thing as 'rest' after you give birth.
