Thanks a mil girls for all your kind words, ye were all great support to me during the cycle and still continue to do so i really appreciate it. Still havent lost it, have a scan tomorrow so hopefully will get to organise a d&c soon though its a long wkend this wkend so prob. wont get one till end next wk which scares me as i dont want to lose it naturally. In middle of changing clinics so hopefully get an appointment end Nov. have lots of questions for them esp on the option of donor but think a change of clinic will be good.
I hope ye are all doing well and for those of ye still struggling to conceive keep fighting girls its tough but we will get there

*Big Hug* I'm so sorry.

I've been looking into immuno testing as well. From what I've read, at least some of it is treatable, but it's very expensive (like everything else!). I haven't figured out whether or not all of it is treatable. So depending on what it is, it seems you may be able to carry. I hope that's some hopeful news for you.

Gi, I am so sorry for your loss. Just wanted to say try to push your clinic, as i managed to get all the genetic/auto immune tests done on the NHS after 2 chemical pregnancies, I did not even get to a heartbeat. After 2, i was referred to the miscarraige clinic, they found a blood clotting disorder, and the next FET was successful.

Hugs and good luck for the future.

Hi you need to ask your RE to test you for anti-phospholipid antibodies/syndrome (APS). they are the little bugger that make us clot off our placenta, the baby, give us DVT Deep Vein Thrombosis (blood clots in our legs) and PE Pulmonary Emboli (the blood clot in your lungs) it make you prone to pre-eclam as well. The list can go on...

There are 21 different antibodies, the test is less than 1k. I think my lab charge was under 500$, but its well worth it. There are 7 different types IgG, IgM, & IgA... You can do a search and look them up.

BUT, this test is very valuable piece of info to have. Yes its very sad that women m/c. BUT if its not chrom, there may be another chance its APS.

treatment is heparin injections a very low dose amts or you can use lovenox, they are both safe for you and the baby.

Ive been dx w/ APS, and will be on heparin injections the day after ER and until a few weeks until one delivers. (if i get a BFP! )

I don't know timing and such. But the blodd test can be done at anytime.

IF you have some frosties left, personally i would get tested first and make sure you dont have ASP or some other blood clotting issue.

The testing takes about 2-3 weeks if that to come back. Just think if you get tested (and yes, its $$) but its alot cheaper than going through IVF meds and ER all over again!

:)

Gi: I also remember you from the July/Aug thread, and am so sorry for your loss! I have had several early m/c and this last go around my RE took the immune issue route even though I had not tested for issues, we thought it could not hurt. I went through an Intralipd IV Infusion 2 weeks prior to ET and began taking Lovenex injections nightly to help with blood clotting...low and behold I got my BFP just yesterday with a strong beta of 256. This is the furthest I have made it in my TTC journey over the past 2 years. If all keeps going well I will continue to recieve the intralipid IV once a month until 30 weeks and the Loxenex injections through the 6th month of pregnancy.

How wonderful is your sister!

Best of luck to you and DH!

hello,
i am very sorry for your loss.
i have not been on this forum for ages, but I had to reply to you.
I also had 2 m/c, about the same weeks as you (we believe around 10 weeks both time). it was very hard, as everything started so well everytime strong HB etc...

in france, we do not test before the 3rd miscarriage. I was not happy about that and was not going to do another ivf without testing for at least a few things. I went abroad, did karyotype, immunity, blood disorder etc. everything came back normal. I wish they had found something treatable that could have explained the m/c.

I did my last IFV in June. Before that , I did a lot a research on internet about how to prevent m/c. Of course there is no miracle solution but something came back often on the web site, which was blood thinner even if no problem was found on the different tests.
I got a BFP, and straight away asked my doc if he could put me on blood thinner (lovenox 0.4). He said he did not believe that it would make a difference but was not against it as it could not harm me or the embryo (S).
I am now 20 weeks pregnant with triplets!! all 3 embryos stuck and are now healthy babies!!
I am still on lovenox (daily injection) , my doc thinks it is ok to stop but I dont want to!
It may be a coincidence, I will never know. But i am glad I did it!

I wish you the best,
please i am not saying that lovenox works or that it is a solution for all of us who m/c but I just wanted to share my story and say that there is hope after m/c

xx
