Hi you need to ask your RE to test you for anti-phospholipid antibodies/syndrome (APS). they are the little bugger that make us clot off our placenta, the baby, give us DVT Deep Vein Thrombosis (blood clots in our legs) and PE Pulmonary Emboli (the blood clot in your lungs) it make you prone to pre-eclam as well. The list can go on...
There are 21 different antibodies, the test is less than 1k. I think my lab charge was under 500$, but its well worth it. There are 7 different types IgG, IgM, & IgA... You can do a search and look them up.
BUT, this test is very valuable piece of info to have. Yes its very sad that women m/c. BUT if its not chrom, there may be another chance its APS.
treatment is heparin injections a very low dose amts or you can use lovenox, they are both safe for you and the baby.
Ive been dx w/ APS, and will be on heparin injections the day after ER and until a few weeks until one delivers. (if i get a BFP! )
I don't know timing and such. But the blodd test can be done at anytime.
IF you have some frosties left, personally i would get tested first and make sure you dont have ASP or some other blood clotting issue.
The testing takes about 2-3 weeks if that to come back. Just think if you get tested (and yes, its $$) but its alot cheaper than going through IVF meds and ER all over again!
