Hi Cressy!
I know our birthdays are very close...mine is April 13th and she may just come then! She's measuring small...about a pound less than average but still within normal limits. Both our baby girls will be fine whatever their size. :D

We want to do IVF again as well...and I know how you feel about the clock ticking-yet I'm much older than you! I'll be 39 in April. I want to nurse for at least 6 months and then pump and store at least 2 months worth if possible so I can start IVF as early as October/November...I know it's soon but I just feel like I have a small window of opportunity.

I thank God everyday for my little miracle baby!

Tia - I was having lunch with a friend this morning as she got pregnant while breast freeding. She had her baby then got pregnant 3 months later, not thinking it was possible while breast feeding. I really, really, really hope I just magically get pregnant without any treatments... you hear of that all the time after people get pregnant. My girlfriend was on some experiemntal fertility treatment to get pregnant and it worked then she got pregnant on her own.

How many IVF's had you done? Didn't you say you had some frozen embryos left over?

Cressy,
That would be fabulous if you got prego naturally! I unfortunately cannot because both of my fallopian tubes are cauterized. I had to get them cauterized because I had hydrosalpinx or water in the tubes. It was the only way IVF would work. At least I don't need to get my tubes tied later...lol! We don't have any frozen embryos left, in fact we tried a round of IVF using the frozen ones (IVF #3), which we had to cancel because the embryos didn't make it through the thawing process. This was IVF #3 because they cancelled that previous one with frozen.

Congratulations Tia. Beautiful name. Hope all is going well. Take care. (Dogz - found out on facebook).

Looks like a lot of us being induced at 39 weeks then. How are you being induced? My doc does this for all ivf babies. I am having a membrane sweep to start with so not sure it will work anyway, then we have to wait and see. If it works it is just 1 week and 4 days away!

I hope he does not go over because my Dad and step mum are visiting on the 4th of April for a week. They live in Spain so not easy to just visit.

Take care all and get rested before we have no sleep at all!

I just can't believe how close everyone is to having their babies. This is so exciting!

I have to go next tomorrow and Friday for a test where they hook me up to the heart monitor and check how many kicks in 20 minutes, had the test last week and they said my little girl was doing awesome.

Next week they are doing another ultrasound (35 weeks) to see how big she is cause I am measuring almost 3 weeks more than I should be, I realy have a feeling they may induce me earlier than 39 weeks.

My blood sugars have been better since they put me on medication, I just really miss eating food with sugar now... I am always craving sweet things!

What is new with everyone else???

I did get to see a picture of Tia's baby on facebook and she is soooooo beautiful.

Savannah Reed Herrell was born 5 1/2 weeks early on Friday, March 12th at 10:05pm...after we were admitted to the Henry Mayo Hospital at 6:00pm. Let's just say it was a VERY QUICK labor! She weighed only 4 pounds, 9 ounces and was 18 1/4 inches long. Savannah was transferred to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Valley Presbyterian Hospital, where she is doing remarkably well. She will stay there until she is able to breastfeed on her own and gain some weight. Alex and I are spending several hours each day at the NICU and making sure she knows she is loved. What an amazing feeling it is just holding her!
Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers,
Love,
Tia, Alex and Savannah

I cried when I saw her the first time, she is so beautiful!

I was glad to see that you are able to breastfeed, that must be an amazing feeling. I can not wait!!!!

I just have so many questions... How was the labor? Was it an emergency C-section? How did they send the baby to another hospital? Can you stay there too? Were you packed and ready to go... what was the reason that you were sent to the hospital? How was the labor on 4 hours, that is incredible. Are you sore?

I am sure you are pre-occupied with your miracle so don't worry about answering these... I am just thinking out loud.

She looks very big and healthy to me, beautiful color to her skin and bright eyes... I am sure she will be home with you very soon. You and your family are in my prayers!!!!

Tia - I have just been looking at pictures of Savannah again. She is just perfect, I hope you get her home soon.

How is everyone else? Any news? I can't believe it is 10 days to my due date and 3 to being induced (if it works). Thinking of you all xoxo

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers!!!

Cressy: I started feeling contractions on Friday the 12th at about 4:30 in the afternoon. I felt about 3 so I started timing them...only 4 minutes apart and they lasted about 30-40 seconds. So I called Alex at the office and he came right home...I finished packing a few more things and we left for the hospital. It was only a 10 minute car ride but the contractions got closer together. They admitted me and checked me and I was fully ephaced (sp?) and 1 cm dilated. They said they could stop the contractions and put me on magnesium. It seemed to slow the contractions for about an hour and then I started feeling stronger contractions and I felt like I was feeling pressure....but the stupid doctors didn't want to check me for fear that the checking would dilate me more. So then when they finally checked me (I kept saying I feel like I need to push! -remember, I haven't had ANY pain meds or epidural...so they checked and I was 10 cm after only 3 hours and they said "Well, it looks like we're having a baby tonight!" The doc was paged and was there 10 minutes later. I pushed about 7 times and she came out! Admitted to the hospital at around 6pm and she was out by 10pm-talk about a fast labor! The contractions hurt more to me than actual pushing. At least when you're pushing, you feel like you're accomplishing something, like it's one more step in meeting your baby. So she came out and was breathing on her own but they had a team of neonatalogists in the room (so there was like 7 people in the room...a bit overwhelming). They observed her for an hour and in that hour she had an episode of apnea, which they said is fairly normal with preemies. So they decided to transfer her to a different hospital because the one I delivered at did not have a NICU. I was released from the hospital the next morning!!! I felt great and was in NO pain whatsoever, even after getting a small episiotomy. Who knew natural labor would be such an easy recovery. It was the last thing I expected...I went into the hospital asking for an epidural. God had other plans ;-) Savannah is doing great...we visit her everyday for 5-6 hours, breastfeed her, sing to her, hold her, and just bond with her. The nurses told me today that they predict she will be home in about 2 weeks. :D

How are you all doing? Ask me ANY questions if you want to know anything else about labor. XOXO
