Of my 35 eggs retrieved, 20 were matured, and 12 are fertilized. They are going to call tomorrow and let me know if it will be a 3 or 5 day transfer.

Blairwh- Glad to hear everything is underway. Hopefully everything goes smoothly for you.

DYS- Welcome! It looks like a lot of us will be doing the 2ww together.

TDF and Millersmommy- Good luck to you both tomorrow!! Lots of sticky dust to you. Try and get some sleep tonight.

Lisadcb- I hope everything went smoothly with your transfer, and they all made it to day 5. Let us know how it went!

Zitinia- Everything sounds good! I would ask the u/s tech lots of questions, and he kept assuring me that everything was going great. I feel like if there was something, they would tell you. Good luck with your u/s tomorrow!

Hspiggy- I like your comparison to the 'Easter Bunny', very cute! I hope your u/s went well today, and you are ready to go on Saturday.

Hopesagain- I am sorry things didn't go as you planned this time. Hopefully the outcome with still be a BFP! Good luck with your 2ww.

Narly- I am sorry it has been such an emotional week for you. I think you made a good choice! It only takes one! I hope your transfer went great today! Keep your faith, and keep believing. We will be doing the 2ww together!

If you get the chance, listen to Michal Buble's song, I just Haven't met you yet. Think about it in terms of what we are doing. I think it is quite appropriate. I heard it during my first appointment to the RE, and it made me feel like I was in the right place. Let me know what you think?!??!

Baby dust, and sticky dust to everyone!

thanks to everyone that sent good thoughts my way. My transfer was this morning. i would describe it as a pap smear with a lil more discomfort. They showed us a picture of the embryo and the Doctor said that it was a STRONG one with 8 cells developed. On bed rest for three days, can't wait for the 21st for blood work. Thinking of you all that are going through the 2ww. Baby dust and sticky dust to all. :D . Funny the mention of Michael Buble's "I just haven't met you yet" as I heard it yesterday on my way to work wondering if our embryo was growing ok. After hearing the tune, I took it as a sign that it was going to be ok.

Jenice

How ironic that you mention the embryo splitting into two, my grandma came to me in a dream and told me that I was having twins and my aunt recently had a dream that I was also having twins. You never know! :D . Hope everything is going well with your cycle.

Wow, it looks like we have quite a few Easter bunnies in our group!! (Hspiggy--love it, that's too funny.) I am sure we are bound to have some BFPs this month, and maybe even lots of them!!! :D :D :P

Hearing about you all has been great during my 2ww...and special thanks for all your well wishes. I don't do well with uncertainty so it really helps!

Byrnme--You are amazing with your abilitiy to stim! I wish I were like you. With 12 fert I have insurance! I bet you will have a nice crop to freeze too. Hope they all grow to day 5!!

Jenice--Sounds like you are doing great! I think 10 eggs, if that's what you're RE is predicting, is AWESOME! Good luck tomorrow.

TDF and Millersmommy--Good luck tomorrow for a nice smooth transfer! I took valium this last time and it was great! I slept so much afterwards, that it made bedrest quite the natural thing to do. Highly rec it!

Narly2000--welcome to the 2ww. hoping your little strong one keeps on growing!

To all the others, lots of babydust!!!!!!

It looks like my retrieval will be on Sunday after all. They want to get as many "good" ones as possible so who will argue with that!!!

One thing that my husband and I have been discussing is the # to be transferred. How many embryos did you transfer if you have already had your ET? If you haven't had your ET yet how many do you plan to transfer? I know everyone is different but just wondering where your heads are at!!!

I need some advice from some ladies who have done this before. I had my retrieval last Wed, I am on 8dpt 3day. Up until day 6, I actually felt fine, then I started to get some weird cramping in my lower abdomen, almost like I was constipated. But after I woke up in the morning, the pain was more severe, I called my RE and they said there was really nothing they could do and that bloating and cramping was normal. I am taking two vivelle dot and 3 prometrium suppositories vaginally a day. The pain has now traveled to my upper abdomen and feels like something in my stomach is totally bloated. When I move I have dull pains and am very uncomfortable. I have tried laxatives, gas pills, and antacid, but it feels like my upper abdomen is going to pop. When I ate dinner, it felt like my stomach was way higher than normal, like it was pushed out of the way by something else in me. It is very uncomfortable. Has anyone else ever felt bloated and full, is it normal? I am so nervous something is wrong, I am scared to do a HPT.

Hi y'all,

I was around here for my first cycle back in Feb/March, and now we're back to do it again. Everything about my first cycle went badly, so I hope this one goes much better! We were supposed to cycle again in May, but that got cancelled because I ovulated early and then never had a period, so we missed the window. I got a puppy shortly after that. :D Right now she's outside 'cuase she's crazy today! Today is day 6 of my microdose flare cycle. My first bloodwork was today, and my E2 was 38. That's low. The nurse who gave me the results said it should have been at least 200. We'll see how Saturday goes. Hopefully the Repronex I started today will bump that number up. Nothing much else. Hopefully I get up to speed soon with how the rest of you are doing with your cycles. Have a good night!

flystar, when I did my cycle last year, I had a lot of bloating from being hyperstimmed. Were your E2 numbers high? If so, you could have some fluid building, and yes it can be very very uncomfortable, in fact sometimes you have to have it drained. Eat lots of protein, and see if that helps to draw any of the fullness out. If it is fluid the protein helps absorb it. I hope this helps and it doesn't get any worse. Hang in there!

hi everyone
i took a week off from the boards and oh my there's a lot to catch up on.
jenice - GOOD LUCK for ER tomorrow. this is your time girl!
lisa - hope the transfer went well. PUPO!! good luck for the 2ww
narly - PUPO! congrats!! glad everything went well! sticky dust to your strong little emby (and hope it will divide :)
byrnme - holy mother hen, 35 eggs and 12 healthy embies, grow emby grow! are they going to do a 5-day transfer?
hopesagain - what a wild cycle this has been for you... it sounds like you made the right decision to convert to IUI, when are they doing your beta? sticky emby dust!!
tdf & millermommy - good luck for transfer tomorrow
hspiggy - 27 follies, wow that's amazing. another mother hen :) good luck for ER on sunday! re: how many to put back in.... we put in 2 embies both cycles. the first time i really wanted to put only 1 back in but got talked into 2 by DH and the RE. i was so nervous b/c i did not want multiples and just wanted a normal pregnancy after all the IVF drama. but we went with 2 to increase the changes of preganncy. we got a BFN. second cycle - i did not even think about it and we went weith 2. we had a BFP and it was just one baby. i think this time we'll do 3 if they let us...
flystar - what you are describing sounds like it could be OHSS, what was your e2 level at retrieval?
craftycat - welcome! so glad to find a french connection on this board. i am french (born & raised) and moved to the US 10 years ago. what part of france do you live in? good luck this cycle!
Saimijacob – welcome! Isn't it so wild that we get to share our journeys with women from all over the globe... Baby dust to you!
StacyIVF#6, Lind83, Klm/ Kirsten, Blairwah58, Mellow 4 and Dys24 - welcome to this board! i wish you all the best for this cycle.

afm - i have been on synarel (same as lupron but in nose spray) for 10 days now. it has turned me into a mad woman. i don't remember the mood swings being that bad and feeling that depressed last time. i have been crying almost non stop for 3 days, including some at work. i can't wait to stop that nasty drug (and really am not looking forward to menopause). DH is just the most patient & loving man on earth if he can put up with me in that state... i went for my baseline u/s this morning and i have one lead follie in one ovary (it's about 10 mm). they saw 10 follies on the other side, but all very quiet from the synarel so good. the nurse said not to worry about the lead follie -- for those of you who had cancelled cycles b/c of lead follies before, why did they cancel you? my nurse said they can just "ignore" the lead follie, is that true or can it get more complicated? after the apt, the RE called me back to say he may increase my meds from the protocol they have given me b/c i don't have a lot of follies (i thought 10 on the one side was pretty good, no??). and to top it all -- a bit more drama on the insurance front. i have been on the phone w/ the pharmacy and the RE's office every day this week to get paperwork organized. well they only sent everything they were supposed to on wed. so my insurance still has not given the pre-authroization for my meds. i start stimms on sat. no stress, right? so i am getting just enough shipped out of pocket to make it til tue, hoping i'll get the authorization then. menopur isn't cheap, and i can't figure out how they can charge USD82/ vial for what is apparently purified urine from menopausal women. seriously? all whining aside, i can't wait to start stims on sat!! stims, worldcup, dinner w/ friends, it's going to be a good weekend ahead...

baby dust everyone

Hi. We are going through our second ivf. Embryo transfer is scheduled for this Sat, June 12. We did donor egg. Started with 16 eggs but down to only 4 embryos. We won't know until sat morning if we will go with 3 day transfer or if we will wait for 5 day on mon instead.

When are you doing your transfer? I wish you all the best.
This is our second try. Last try was with my eggs. We had 4 eggs, 3 fertilized, 2 got to day 3, I got pregnant but miscarried at 8 weeks. I'm hopeful this time around but can't get excited. we'll just have to see what happens,

Dys - welcome. I'm on the May board too, but I feel their are more ladies here that are on my schedule. It is nice to have people who are going through the same thing at the exact same time.

Jenice - good luck on ER tomorrow.

Millersmommy and TDF - good luck on transfer tomorrow.

Narly2000 - yeah for being PUPO...glad to have another buddy join me today.

Flystar - I have been cramping and bloating since my ER on Saturday.

Hspiggy - my first ivf we put in 3, because they did look that great, and I got singleton. Today, we put in 2 out of 3 because they were blastocysts. I really think it depends on both the quailty of the embies and whether its a 3 or 5 day. It is safer to put in more on day 3, than on day 5.

AFM - I am finally PUPO. We put in one great looking grade 2 blast and one ok looking grade 3 blast. There is still one more grade 3 blast, but it was looking pretty weak. They will keep cultivating it and check it tomorrow to see if freezing it is still a possibility. My first beta is 6/22, but I know I will POAS before then. I need to find out on my own terms how the results will be and not from a phone call. I am having a hard time with keeping to bed rest, since my son is sick and my sister who flew in from Boston to take care of him during my bedrest has also gotten really sick...ugh!! My husband is doing to the best he can and get frustrated when I am walking about.

Hi Julia78, I'm near Le Mans. Where are you from??
Good grief, some of you ladies with huuuggge numbers of eggs!! I'm now on day 13 and only have 6! Was getting worried as on day 9 it only looked like I had 2 and the doc was talking about abandoning. Luckily day 11 it looked better so continued 2 more days to get some bigger eggs. Had another blood test this morning and a scan this afternoon and got the ok for egg collection on sunday. Now waiting until 10.30pm for the nurse to come by and do the trigger shot.
Don't know about you girls but I'm black and blue from needles everywhere!
Good luck everyone!

Just had my labs and US. Looks like we are closer to 9-10 follicles (last visit was 7) and RE says my lining looks better than last attempt IVF. We have moved our ER to Tuesday but I'm just glad he is adjusting as he sees fit. I felt better with this visit than the past two. Now just keep injecting and hoping for great ER and (oh yeah) sperm aspiration again for my husband. LOL! They wanted to prescribe him a valium and I told them no that he must drive me home (2.5 hrs) following our procedure. I know, I'm so mean  !!! But he did just fine last time with just the local injections!!!
