good luck for ER on sunday! re: how many to put back in.... we put in 2 embies both cycles. the first time i really wanted to put only 1 back in but got talked into 2 by DH and the RE. i was so nervous b/c i did not want multiples and just wanted a normal pregnancy after all the IVF drama. but we went with 2 to increase the changes of preganncy. we got a BFN. second cycle - i did not even think about it and we went weith 2. we had a BFP and it was just one baby. i think this time we'll do 3 if they let us...
flystar - what you are describing sounds like it could be OHSS, what was your e2 level at retrieval?
craftycat - welcome! so glad to find a french connection on this board. i am french (born & raised) and moved to the US 10 years ago. what part of france do you live in? good luck this cycle!
Saimijacob – welcome! Isn't it so wild that we get to share our journeys with women from all over the globe... Baby dust to you!
StacyIVF#6, Lind83, Klm/ Kirsten, Blairwah58, Mellow 4 and Dys24 - welcome to this board! i wish you all the best for this cycle.
afm - i have been on synarel (same as lupron but in nose spray) for 10 days now. it has turned me into a mad woman. i don't remember the mood swings being that bad and feeling that depressed last time. i have been crying almost non stop for 3 days, including some at work. i can't wait to stop that nasty drug (and really am not looking forward to menopause). DH is just the most patient & loving man on earth if he can put up with me in that state... i went for my baseline u/s this morning and i have one lead follie in one ovary (it's about 10 mm). they saw 10 follies on the other side, but all very quiet from the synarel so good. the nurse said not to worry about the lead follie -- for those of you who had cancelled cycles b/c of lead follies before, why did they cancel you? my nurse said they can just "ignore" the lead follie, is that true or can it get more complicated? after the apt, the RE called me back to say he may increase my meds from the protocol they have given me b/c i don't have a lot of follies (i thought 10 on the one side was pretty good, no??). and to top it all -- a bit more drama on the insurance front. i have been on the phone w/ the pharmacy and the RE's office every day this week to get paperwork organized. well they only sent everything they were supposed to on wed. so my insurance still has not given the pre-authroization for my meds. i start stimms on sat. no stress, right? so i am getting just enough shipped out of pocket to make it til tue, hoping i'll get the authorization then. menopur isn't cheap, and i can't figure out how they can charge USD82/ vial for what is apparently purified urine from menopausal women. seriously? all whining aside, i can't wait to start stims on sat!! stims, worldcup, dinner w/ friends, it's going to be a good weekend ahead...
baby dust everyone
