Hi ladies!!! I missed you!!! I've been so busy w/ correcting...the blah side of teaching
Lyd- Awe….I’m so sorry (((HUGS))) Yes, us ivf girls definitely have to go through so much…it is so not part of the reality for many women getting preggo the old-fashioned way, which is why it’s so frustrating! Now, I’m not too familiar w/ FETs, but don’t they build up your lining prior to the transfer? Maybe that is the better environment for you & that’s why the FETs might be the way to go for you. Either way…that really stinks & I’m so sorry. This upcoming FET will give you your baby…I just know it! I hope AF comes for you, so you can avoid a D&C. Please keep us posted on what the embryologist says. Happy early 1st birthday to your son…hold him tight & enjoy every moment w/ him
Faithful- Glad you can relax a bit at work…I definitely know the feeling! Anyway you look at m/c it is just sad & I’m so sorry, but I’m glad that you’re able to put some sort of closure based on the test results.
Red Riding Hood- Welcome! You definitely found an awesome place w/ really supportive women here. Please let us know how Thursday’s appointment goes.
Blairwh- Do NOT be sorry for crashing….you’re welcome here anytime! I hope AF gets here really soon! So, you’re having an FET in a couple of weeks? How many will you be transferring? Good luck to you & keep us posted!
Blaqdymun- I love your reference to the “April/May Cycle House of Fun!”
Heidi- Yay for AF finally getting here!!! I was on Lupron my last cycle, which I wasn’t on it during my 1st 3 cycles, & I hate to say it, but I did notice a difference as far as how moody I was. My DH definitely learned quick & stayed away, lol!
Sunshine- Welcome! Please let us know how your consultation goes next week!
Wishingandhoping- Hi! I have experience w/ Ganirelix; however, I have never taken BCPS during for my cycles. During my 1st 3 cycles I took Follistim & right around day 7 I would start Ganirelix. It’s used to prevent ovulation & to have the follies fully mature. Hope that helps. Doing the AF dance for you
Tiffany- So, has AF showed her ugly face yet?
Blissful- I’m so sorry about your BFN…unfortunately, I know how you feel. This will be your time…I can feel it!!! This is a lucky board

By the way, I absolutely LOVE zumba…I do it 3x/week & I’m dreading the time when I’ll have to slow down/stop.
Mom4sure- When do you head out to Cape Town? We start stims on the same day…April 1st!!!
JenMink- It’s almost B!tch juice time, lol!
Michele- How are you girl? We’re almost there…CMTs will be over soon…woohoo!!! You need to move your name to the “Doing Injectables for IVF” section since you’ve been on Lupron. How’s that going by the way? Are you students scared of you yet, lol?
Mcfarland- When’s your u/s to check out that cyst?
How’s everyone else doing???
AFM- So, I’m good to go….woohoo!!! My SHG went awesome…I’m good! It actually wasn’t painful at all, so I was happy about that. Also, the insurance stuff has gone through. My nurse has already ordered my meds & I spoke with the pharmacy to confirm my order & delivery. I’m kind of excited b/c this time I will be on Crinone gel suppositories during the 2ww instead of the PIO injections. I know I’ve heard they’re messy & all, but I need a break from the sore butt & hips. I guess this is 1 thing that makes Yale different from UConn…1 thing that I definitely like! I will be starting Lupron on Monday…oh shoot, now that I think of it I think it might be Tuesday…ugh…need to email my nurse. We spoke yesterday & she said Monday at 1st (I think) & then changed it to Tuesday (I think) b/c originally she thought AF got here on March 1st but it was actually March 2nd. But I’m not 100% sure b/c now I’m questioning what I wrote down. Anyways, it’s either Monday or Tuesday. Then I go in for b/w & an u/s on Friday, April 1st (this I definitely know is correct, lol!) I will be calling out sick that day as this is my 1st time dealing w/ Yale & I don’t want to make any assumption as to how fast/slow they are w/ these appointments. I don’t want to have to worry if I’ll make it to school on time. Although, technically I can do a ½ sick day. But it’s a Friday, so why not take the day off?! Maybe it’ll be a nice spring day & I can do something outside. So that day they’ll be able to tell me if I’m good to start Follistim. Also, I’ve been getting weekly massages at my chiropractor’s office. I know many do acupuncture, but it’s just not for me. She does upper back & neck massage, so it should be okay even after the transfer. I’ll check w/ my nurse about it. The other thing I like about Yale is that I can email my nurse…not an option that was available (at least not that I knew of) at UConn. When I had my SHG, the RE doing it made a comment, “We do things differently here that at UConn.” Not sure what she meant & I just left it at that, but she had a positive voice & expression. So, I’m okay w/ that. DH has a SA scheduled for Monday, March 28th. Since our issue is severe MF due to count, morphology, & motility, I’ve had him on a serious vitamin regimen- vitamins A, B complex, & E, acetyl l carnitine, acai, fish oil, selenium, coq10, zinc. Hope it has helped, a little at least. When we had our consultation back on the 1st, the RE was kind of funny actually. He said, “Well, how do you know it’s not an egg issue also?” So, I told him that UConn has told us due to DH’s SA, it’s clear that it’s a sperm issue, so we just assumed that it’s the only issue at hand. The RE responded, “Just b/c you know it’s 1 thing that’s wrong, you can’t rule out other issues that may also be present.” I never thought of it that way. I like him…the RE at UConn was nice & very smart, but this RE at Yale is all of that, but also more personable, which I’m very happy about.
Ok, so now that I wrote a novel, I will stop, so I can grab some dinner. As soon as I clarify the Lupron start date, I will update you.
Michele, I can’t wait to see my name under the “Doing Injectables for IVF” section!!!
