I talked with my IVF nurse today and we are set to go for FET. Just waiting on AF, which should be here around 4/17. According to the sample calendar she sent me the actual transfer will happen on CD 46. If AF is on time and all goes well that will put it around June 1st.

TammyS wrote: Rio...Yes, I got your message, thank you. I haven't been on bcp's since my 2nd cycle...so we're good there. The thing that I am worried about is that I dont go in for my first SnS until Saturday when my lead follies are expected to be 14mm and when it is expected that I'll start the ganerilix. I am worried that it'll be too late on Saturday or that the ganerlix wont be enough to keep me from ovulating. I am not on anything for preventing ovulation right now...no lupron...nothing. Should I be concerned? Plus, if you remember how high my blood tests came back for DHEA and testosterone after being on it for only 5 days back in early Jan...I dont know if I'm super high, right now. I backed off Sunday from 3 pills a day to 2 pills...and think I will drop to 1 pill tomorrow and Wednesday and then stop...since I'm starting follistim Wed and expect to have follies around 14mm on Saturday. What do you think? Honestly. Do you have a better plan for me? Am I being worried for nothing? Plus, I read that it can cause a higher chance of miscarriage...which we all know is a major problem for me. I just cant find enough consistant info online. Ugh.
day 0 I started AF Estradiol and progesteron levels
day 1 started follistim/menopur/Femara
day 2 I did Estradiol/progesterone levels and had a baseline US
day 5 Estradiol/progesterone levels and had a US - that's when I started Ganirelix and did it for 4 days
then again E2/prog/US on day 7 and 8 and triggered on day 8
ER day 10

So if you responded exactly like me you would start ganirelix on day 5 of meds which would be your Sunday. If you are nervous about it being Saturday ask for a US on Friday, are you doing blood levels before? E2? I don't know about DHEA because I never got tested my RE just okd it and said to take 3x day 25mg ea and stop 3 days before ER. I know you got tested and they were high so I really don't know :( I also never read about DHEA and miscarriage and my RE never mentioned it. Sorry I cannot be more help - make sure they are checking your E2s though, your AFC looked amazing! Fingers and everything crossed for you!

Hello my name is Tina and I am knew to this message board thing. I just started taking my leuprolide on the 29th of march. To be honest this whole thing was unexpected for me. I have two children and I got my tubes tied with my daughter. I was only 23 but at the time i had no interest in anymore kids. I later got divorced and just recently married the man i intend to be with forever. He is the love of my life and he doesn't have children of his own. So here I am. It took me a while to warm up to the idea and now i feel it is my own and I'm terrified. What if it doesn't work? I have had a miscarriage in the past and it was one of the most painful emotional times of my life. We only have the funds to do it this one time and I'm feeling the pressure. Just needing someone to talk to going through the same journey. thanks

Someone asked about thaw success rate. I think 90% sounds like a high success rate, but I am sure it is attainable. I think I hear that most clinics get between 50-80% with most over the 70% mark. It all depends on the quality when frozen and some other factors. I can tell you that when I froze 4 day-3 embies, all of great quality, 2 did not make the thaw. I was surprised and so was RE. I think he was expecting 3 to make it (which would have been 75%).

Oh ladies, it is stim-eve for me! I am so nervous, excited, emotional, scared, ready and not ready all at the same time! I called RE today to double check on my "off limits" list of activities during stims and after ER. I really wanted to see if I could get a spa treatment that involves soaking in a jacuzzi for 20 minutes. they said fine before ER but no after. So next friday I am taking a personal day since my clinic is only open until noon. I will go for my u/s and bw in the morning and the go for my head-to-toe treatment in the afternoon while Ella is at daycare. It is my early birthday gift to myself and a way to try and relax before the big week! I am also getting a little worried about timing. My ER will probably be on the 12th, 13th or 14th. My clinic does almost all 3-day transfers. So if it happens on the 13th and my transfer is the 16th it will be a disaster! That is the day of my sister's baby shower and my mom's 50th b-day! There are 2 big parties planned for that day that I have big parts in hosting duties. Oh boy...I guess only time will tell and we will make do, but no way I will be able to go home and lie on the couch all day.

Oh, and besides for my beta possibly being on my 30th b-day, can you believe it is going to be during national infertility awareness week? I hope these are both good signs!

Yikes Michele sounds like you have got your hands full with your family, hopefully it won't fall on the 16th though, maybe you could ask a relative to help out (early in advance) in case you might need her as a safety net. I do love the spa treatment birthday gift, you so deserve to treat yourself to something nice. I wasn't aware we had National Infertility Week, how did I not know about that lol might have to google it, love the idea of us doing something special here for one another.

Today I almost freaked out when Assend Pharmacy called telling me my meds would be delayed in getting here all because Ga had a "huge thunderstorm" and the weather was so bad that they left me a message saying it definately wouldn't be coming today... So I turned around first called my clinic who had none in their cabinet and THEN called my local CVS who so happened to have Femara in stock, which would run me 215.95. The lady at CVS was like you know Femara is used to treat cancer and I was like what? So I had to call my clinic back and verify everything with me, love getting the run around. So since I thought it wasn't coming today, I went downtown to get my hair done and the next thing I know dh beats me home to find a big box on our doorstep. Thankfully our dogs didn't tear right into, that would of been a nightmare, my drama for the day!

Tomorrow dh and I are going camping together for the very first time ever, I am so excited but nervous at the same time for fear that the racoons will eat all our food  This should be an adventure in the wilderness. Please don't let me forget to take my femara though, that would just be my luck. I'll set my cell phone alarm just in case. nitey-nite!

babytime- Welcome! You definitely found the right place…we’re all here to support each other & ease each other’s fears. Any questions, you want to vent, or just whatever…we’re here for you! Fingers & toes crossed that this will bring you & your hubby your baby.

NancyB- Doesn’t it feel good to have a plan in place?

Ellis79- Congrats…you’re PUPO!!! Yay!!! Sorry that you had none to freeze, but you’re going to be getting your BFP, so that’s ok! Rest up!

Sunshine1576- Yes, there are so many of us who are starting around the same time! Sometimes men don’t think before they open their mouths, lol! Yes, a magic wand would be the perfect solution….wouldn’t that be nice!

easley4- Yeah, I’m having a little belly swelling…it’s so annoying b/c I feel like all that zumba I’m doing is useless, although my legs are rock solid, lol! My problem is my belly though, so the swelling isn’t helping.

BlissfulCS- So awesome that you have a plan of action. I actually just had a SHG (sonohysterogram) & it’s not bad at all. I think some are getting confused with a HSG (hysterosalpingogram), which I had 2 & ½ years ago & it was the worst! The SHG I just had 3 weeks ago was a breeze. You’ll be fine, I promise!

JenMink55- Are you on Follistim? How much are you taking? I’m sure you’ll be ok. Day 8 is kind of a while, I would think. I’m w/ a new RE, but w/ my old RE, I would go in for a baseline, come back 2 days later for b/w & then 2 days later for more b/w & an u/s. Keep on cooking!!!

mom4sure- You’re welcome! Come on AF….I’m doing somersaults!!! I hope it worked!

Michele- Woohoo for the green light….so exciting!!!

xOHeatherOx- So glad that your appointment went good & you’re on schedule to start on Sunday!

TammyS- Hey there my friend! How are you? I’m loving your PMA! Can’t wait to hear how many follies you got cooking in there on Saturday! Keep us posted!

cherry5- Did you have your FET today? How’s everything going?

Red_Riding_Hood & jmbella- It’s almost b!t@h juice time!!!

I know I missed many of you! Please know that I’m reading everyday & thinking of all of you!

AFM- Well, I put my sub plans together after school today & called out sick for tomorrow. I have my baseline tomorrow…I have to be there between 7:15 & 8:15. I think it’s weird that I don’t have an actual appointment. W/ my old RE, if it was an u/s, they would actually schedule an appointment & if it was just b/w, I could come in during a certain period of time in the morning. So, anyways, this is why I took the day off b/c I’m not sure how they run things & I don’t want to be rushing in the morning to get to school & stressing out. I’m exhausted, so I’m off to bed. I will update tomorrow. Sweet dreams everyone!

mom4sure ~ You and I are both starting to stim tomorrow, it's so exciting to finally be starting. Pray for little bruising.

Moorebaby ~ GL with you appt today. After your appt you should pamper yourself and take it easy.

Sunshine1576 ~ IVF is hard enough w/o the added stress, glad your meds came and everything worked out. Enjoy your camping trip.

Michele ~ I don't know how you do it. I think it is a good idea that you are going to take time for a spa day. My possible ER is also around the 13th.

Babytime ~ Welcome! You'll will get great support here.

ellis79 ~ Congrats!!!! You are PUPO.

BlissfulCS ~ I had a sonohysterogram last week (it's is my second one) and it is not painful. I was tired after because of the meds and was a tiny bit crampy.

x0Heather0x ~ good news on your lining. I will be on 300U of follistim and 150U of menopur starting Saturday. It's getting close for both of us yeah!

JenMink55 ~ grow follies grow!!!

Sorry I know I missed so many. Sending my love and baby dust.

AFM ~ I am all ready; I have painted my toe nails orange and DH got me an orange sapphire charm for my bracelet. AF came yesterday and I will start stimming on Saturday, u/s on April 6th and if all goes well ER on April 13th.

No, I've never done an FET before. I did get an "unofficial FET calendar" from my nurse yesterday. It's not my official one becuase AF isn't here yet etc... but it gives me a good idea of how it will go. Looks like from day 1 of period to transfer is around 46 days.

Hi ladies,

NancyB kindly invited me to join your thread - hope you don't mind!

Quick intro from me: me and my DH have been together over 10 years and married for 6 (7 yrs in July). We started trying for a family more or less after we got married. I had a feeling from a very early stage that something wasn't quite right when every month AF arrived! About 6 months into us trying I decided to go to our GP. Did the usual tests and it showed that DH had a low sperm count. My periods are irregular (but regular for me!) but no signs of PCOS. We had the 6 months of Clomid with no success. Then we had our 2 NHS funded IVF treatments with both BFN's, then a FET with BFN and our last fresh cycle was June/July 2009, again another BFN :( It seems I may have a slight problem with the thickness of my womb - only answer the unit can give us as every cycle we've had has gone fantastic and we get a great number of eggs, all good quality.

Me and DH had a well earned break from any treatment last year. We had 2 great holidays, weekends away, spending time with great friends and family and bascially enjoyed ourselves without all the stress of am I aren't I pregnant!

Well we decided that 2011 was our year to try a FET and have a baby!! :)

I started treatment begining of February. Unfortunately my mother-in-law was taken ill and passed away a few weeks into treatment  We decided to carry on with the treatment as she wouldn't have wanted us to give up.

I've had 2 scans both showing the lining of the womb is thickening up nicely!

We have 5 blastocyst embryos for thawing and another 5 blastcyst (from our last cycle 2009) just in case the first 5 don't suvive. So our ET is for Wed 6th April - eeek!

When i started my hormone patches I started Viarga and so far it seems to have done it's job. I have my last down reg injection on Saturday and start more tablets and pessaries and conitnue with the patches. I went for my first acupuncture session today - I did want to start it when I first started treatment but of course with our sad loss it completely went out my head.

Sorry this is such a essay but I haven't been on a thread for a long while!! haha

CT_Michele - not sure you remember me but we were cyclin together in 2009!

I will try and catch up with everyone's posts x

Again, I hope you dont mine me joining (and haven't got too bored reading my post! LOL)

Vicky,

So glad you jumped in here. It's nice to meet you! I'm so sorry for the BFNs you've gotten. They stink big time. So exciting that your FET is right around the corner. Whoo hooo!!!!! That's great that you have 5 frosties to thaw and then even more still in the freezer!!!!

Please keep in touch and let us know how things are going.

Hi Ladies

I am confused and worried. I took my last bcp on Monday, and was told i should get a period after 3 days. Well i started to bleed early yesterday morning so i thought i had started my period. It's been 24hrs and its still hasn't developed into a full bleed, just bearly spotting. My RE is away for a week and she told me i had to get a full bleed before i start my injections. I called the clinic yesterday and the RE who's standing in for her told me to wait for a full bleed, but i am only bearly spotting and today is the 4th night after i took my last pill. Why i am i just bearly spotting and not getting a full bleed. Is this normal.... I don't see this turning out good for me. Why is this happening?
I've travelled all this way, paid a month accomodation (non refundable) and now THIS :?: . I am so low and confused. What's going on :( :( :( :( .

mom4sure- Im not sure why they make you wait for a full bleed. I took my last bcp on Tuesday evening and whether I start AF or not I start my shots on Sunday night. Maybe it has to do with your lining? Maybe ask Ghost why some require a bleed and why some dont?
Im really sorry this is happening to you! I"ll say some prayers for you!
