I am lying here for the usual 1 hour wait after transfer. Everything went great. I was nervous about doctor I had today but she was AWESOME!! They said my embie looked as though it had never been frozen and it was expanding. They almost did have to use the stitch but right as they went to tug she got it in place.

Doctor said my chances are very good

Let the bed rest begin. I'm PUPO!!!!! Couldn't be happier right now.

Congrats Nancy!!!

Enjoy being PUPO...Stick to the bed rest and Sticky Vibes to you my friend!!!

Becca....I'm a stalker but wanted to chime in. I was on crinone and had the same thing. Except when I did the finger thing a TON came out. My RE said it was normal and if it was pink or brown it was just from irritation. To ease my own mind and the discomforts of it all I switched to PIO. I would def take your dose though when needed. I wish you the best of luck!!

Hi everybody

Nancy - congrats on being PUPO. We can prop each other up for the next two weeks. :)

Blady - yay for a great u/s. I'm so happy for you. :D

Becca - hope you're doing okay. Rypell gave you some good advice. Try not to stress out. I know it's hard.

Deft - excellent beta. You must be sooooo excited about the ultrasound. Thanks for asking about PGD. Unfortunately PGD is not an option for us with Meckel-gruber syndrome. There are 7 genes associated with the syndrome and no evidence to say that one gene is more prevalent than the other. It costs about 1000-2000 Euros to test per gene. The hospital could only afford to test one gene under our public health system and we don't have the money to pay for testing all of the genes. If we had the money to pay for testing, once the MGS gene is identified, we could do PGD. DH and I both agreed to take the risk. We've a 75% chance of a baby not affected by MGS. If i get pregnant, along with the usual stress of early pregnancy, I'll also be freaking out about the 12 wk + ultrasounds when the syndrome is most likely to be identified. Here's hoping it all turns out.

Greekchick - how you doing PUPO lady? When's your beta?

Anton - you little ray of sunshine :D Hope you had a fantastic catch up with DH. A month is a long time.

Kerri - how are you feeling?

Afm - transferred our one embie this morning. It wasn't as perfect as the embies transferred in my 1st IVF cycle and FET cycle - 6 cell rather than 8. I'm holding out hope for it though. Divide little embie divide and then snuggle right down in there where it's all warm and yummy. Out of the 3 remaining embies, 2 are 5/6 cell and one is still 3/4. The embryologist will wait a few more days to see if any are suitable to freeze. I'm really hoping we get at least one frostie, just incase I don't get my BFP this time round. Fresh cycles are such a faff!! I've got the day off work today so I'm relaxing infront of the fire. It's coming into winter here in New Zealand incase you're wondering. Might go for a little stroll with the puglet in an hour or two to get some fresh air.

Fingers, toes and everything crossed fellow PUPO ladies.

Tess,

Yes, we'll definitely keep each other company in crazy town. :-)

When is your beta?

Starting winter seems so wild. It was 92 degrees here today with a "feels like" 97. Hot hot hot and it's not even summer yet

I can't begin to thank everyone enough for their encouraging and compassionate words. My RE was closed by the time I got off work, so I came home and redosed. So far no seepage and no pink. And my left breast is extremely sore. Come on Friday!!

Blaqdy, yes I use an applicator and the other morning I "pinched" myself with it. Ouch. So I am thinking the large seepage amount was as you suggested that I didn't get it deep enough to the wall. What is PIO?

rypell, so glad I am not the only one that did the finger thing, lol. Nothing has been, except Crinone, has been "up there" so I was nervous, but I just had to see if there was more coming. Congrats on your twins. We transferred one girl and one boy also, and are crossing our fingers for such a blessing.

Nancy and Tess, congrats on your transfers!! Take it easy and enjoy being PUPO!! Sending your tons of good thoughts!!!

Thank you again everyone!!

Greekchick, my uncertain feelings always become stronger before beta. 5 days before beta, I decided to use HPT to do the test in my 3rd IVF. It turned out to be negative. I did again 3 days before. The result stayed unchanged. I was not very happy but at least it eased my feeling a bit.
Becca, good luck for your beta :o

Tess, now you are PUPO!!! You know, there are so many critical points that one has to go through for the IVF and so many unknown in this process. I cannot be upset for every of them. I adapted my attitudes: to only do what I can do and leave the rest to the “God”. Be careful here, I am not religious but I just don’t know what else to do. If the lab decides to proceed the transfer, it means they are not too bad and there are still change for them to survive in your uterus. Take care of yourself and your embie

Nancyb, how is your bed rest going?

AFM, everything is normal except feeling tired all the time and sleep a lot. i guess the tiredness is partly from the procedure and partly from my depression. I have been feeling so for a long time. In addition to progesterone, I am taking estrogen and folic acid daily. I don’t feel much except for slight constipation and nausea. If everything goes according to the schedule, the implantation has started and should be completed tomorrow. I guess I may feel a difference after tomorrow if the implantation succeeds. I have to attend a family party today, which is not a pleasant thing to do now.

Hey Kerri,

Bed rest is going fine. I'm thankful I'm able to do it.

About when does implantation take place on a 5 day transfer?

I have such a good feeling about this. I sure hope it's correct.

Try and keep your PMA up. I've read on here about implantation bleeding and/or spotting so maybe that's what it is.

Let us know what the doctor says and try and rest the rest of the day. Maybe watch a movie and just relax. Make sure you are drinking enough water.

Hey Becca,

PIO : is progesterone in oil. It literally looks like oil and is administered by injection normally in the booty. I so rather the injections bcuz like I mentioned before the inserts irritate me so bad that I can barely concentrate on anything else during the day. It's aweful. Not to mention the seepage & sporadic gushes....

Hubby wasn't too happy that I chose 2 more wks of injections bcuz he hates giving them to me but, he'll get over it!

greekchick- Do not lose your PMA! Many women have spotting during early pregnancy. Sometimes it's due to implantation, and sometimes they don't know why women spot. You are PUPO, and don't get discouraged!!! Big hugs!!!

Becca- Crinone is nasty stuff. I always had the stuff leaking back out, and it was pink sometimes. They say that it's often due to irritation in the cervix. According to my RE if any leaks out it's okay...there's plenty that stays up there. Keep up your PMA!

Texasgal: Good luck on your beta tomorrow....Wishing you the BEST!

greekchick: Keep your head up....think good thoughts!!!

Anton: Hope your reunion with DH was wonderful....keeping you in my prayers.

AFM: I am headed to bed. I had a long day at work and by Friday I am ready to crash and burn. I travel 25hrs a week (commuting) and I can't wait until Friday arrives. I am craving Ice cream right now...I am normally lactose intolerant but not any more!!! I can eat ice-cream without the smelly aftermath thanks to my lil' JUJU bean :P so I will be taking full advantage of this wide open window and jump right thru it as often as I can! Me & DH have decided to tell our parents on June 8th when mine arrive in town. His are already here and my other relatives & friends will hear thru FB announcement

Have a good night!
