Hi Julie,

My situation is similar to that of Lisa, in that my DH has had a failed reversal and we are awaiting his appointment for SSR - should be in March.

The book a lot of people swear by on here is Zita West - Complete guide to fertility (or something like that - not too sure on the title). I ...

Oh Terri,

So sorry to hear the news about Jak. I've never had a dog but I know how loosing pets feels after having cats all my life.

You and DH take good care of each other.

Good Luck Jenny.

Is he having the Op tomorrow then?

My Dh is having his in March, we were told there is a 90% success rate, this is for though who have had a vasectomy. Were you told the same?

Hi NickiMark,

I would be in a similar position to you if we were using donor sperm. My DH has had a failed vasectomy reversal so we are waiting for his appointment to come through for SSR. Obviously we will be going to ICSI/IVF.

If we had considered donor sperm, then I would have had the IUI v IVF ...

HI Ladies,

Mind if I barge in here too?

Similar situation, DH is 10 years older than me and has 3 teenage children. DH’s vas reversal failed, so on the IVF/ICSI route. Not only do I have to watch my back with the ex, but also the children too. Never met them (except a couple of occasions when we ...

Hi Girls,

I've not posted much since joining this thread, just been so busy at work, and no access at home.

Nicki/Kate - sorry to hear about your recent BFN's, sounds like you are both thinking positive again though.

Galip - Did oyu have your ET yesterday? Best of luck!

Hi Mel,

I replied to our consultation document here about the reduction to one embryo - it was the only area I was really bothered about! I hope they don't reduce it! I'm not going to be able to get going until April.

Out of interest, what is the sucess rate at the clinics in NZ, just wondering if ...

Hi Julie,

Sorry I have no experience with this, but from what I understand the fingers act like little brushes to help the egg out of the tubes and into the womb, I guess is they are slow then the egg may not reach to womb in time to implant?

Have you tried looking up the phrase you were given on ...

Hi Girls,

I'm in too! "Just" 30.

Bit fed up today, :( had my first FSH test result back (hoping to do first cycle early next year). It was 8.1. I know it is in the "normal" range but I was hoping for a great score. We are having treatment for MF (failed vas reversal) so I have never thought ...

Hi Lynne,

Welcome (or welcome back!)

We are in similar positions, my DH had an unsuccessful reversal and we are going down the PESE/TESE route too. Luckily I have never had to convince him of this because he always said he would have more children (he has 3 teenagers). I know what you mean though ...

Hi Girls,

Hope you all had a fab weekend.

Terri – Bet you really enjoyed DH being back. :D Hope he loved the buffet. Thanks for the info about the Hycosy, I think it sounds similar to what I might need doing to remove that polyp if I have one. They will definitely have to go inside with a camera ...

Karen,

Thanks for your reply. I guess I am not as worried now! More worried that is the next scan still shows something I will need the small op to remove it and this will delay the start of our first IVF cycle. :(

It would be nice to have a full MOT though. I wanted fully checking out but the ...

Hi Terri,

Is DH home today? Hope you have a fantastic weekend if he is! :D I am off to a Halloween party in fancy dress tonight, so will be doing that ovulation dance for you.

Was your hycosy a hysteroscopy? I think this is what I might need to have if I have that polyp. How long was the ...

Hi Girls,

Thought I would update you on my consultation as some of you have been kind enough to ask about it.

Overall it went quite well, although hated the consultant! He really didn't like the fact that I had bothered to find out anything for myself, said the progesterone test I had was a waste ...
