Hi!

Maybe my story can give you some hope.

I am 34 and my husband 32. We went through IVF in May/June this year due to my husband's low sperm count - I think the first test was 70,000 with low mobility. But then he started cooling his testicles twice a day in cold water (poor guy!) and took some ...

I am currently 25 weeks pregnant with a singleton after transferring 5 embies. I am 34 years old, but didn't fancy doing IVF again if I didn't have to.

Amazing ICSI process/genetics testing on-line video

I found this great video on the web that shows all the stages of IVF, particularly ICSI and genetic testing of a 3 day embryo - including:
a live egg retrieval showing the removal of the fluid from the ovaries (on the ultrasound screen), cleaning the retrieved eggs (I never knew they did this), an ...

I have 3 fibroids, and am now 14 weeks pregnant after first go ICSI. The policy at my clinic is not to touch fibroids, as at the moment, the IVF community are not sure how much fibroids actually contribute to problems, but they are very sure how much scarring from ops to remove them do. I'd get a ...

Hi guys, I'm still here (sporadically).

I have made it to the internet cafe in the next town. I wanted to find out how things went with you Jackie. So sorry to hear your news. Good for you for already planning the next assault.

I kinda don't want to start thinking about being pregnant, because I ...

Thanks for the congrats everyone!

I'm a bit confused about the week thing - according to 'reality', fertilisation took place on 21 May, which was EC day. So according to that, I am 4 weeks. But on pregnancy calculators, it says I am 5 weeks and 3 days. I know they add on a week in 'normal ...

Don't worry too much Jackie - cramping is very normal during early stages - but I'm sure you know that. Some people actually worry that they have no symptoms at all. I guess being IVFers, we just know how precarious everything is and what can go wrong at each stage, so it is all much more stressful ...

Um.... I think I'm pregnant. I did another First Response yesterday (11 days post 5000 hcG shot - which is 23 days post ovulation/fertilisation) and the line was darker than the one at 7 days post. As much as you gals complain about Beta day, be glad you have one! At least then you know for sure! So ...

It's me back! Yes still alive. I've nipped out to a local internet cafe to catch up on everyones news. I'm so sorry Laura and anyone else greiving at this time. It is important to take time out for yourself and to know that how you feel (whatever that is) is normal.

As for me, as usual, I need ...

Hello everyone!

We are moving down to the coast for the summer, so it will be a little while before I can post again - until we can get connected at home. We are fine (me and my brood), although of course I don't know really if anyone is still alive in there..... And I won't know for a while ...

NO! Don't go nuts! 5 days post transfer is WAY too early to test. Apparently the embryo takes 6-8 days to implant, and only 2 days after that does your body start producing HcG which is the thing which indicates positive/negative in urine, and even then it needs quite a few days to rise to the ...

Carolyn - have you researched the Soya milk thing? I read that on NO ACCOUNT was anything soya to pass my lips - it contains a natural form of estrogen and can screw with your hormone levels. Or have you read something else?

Congrats LauraLou and (maybe?) Lucy Bucy!!

Well I'm in the 2ww doldrums. Not surfing the internet or looking at the chatsites helps a bit to keep my mind on other things, but I do want to know what's happening in my little on-line IVF community!

Nothing to report, really. Have some mild cramping ...
