Hi,

I am planning on breastfeeding my twins and I was wondering if anyone had any breast pump recommendations. I am not sure if I should rent or buy. I won't be going back to work. I am driving myself crazy with this decision of what kind of pump to get : )

Thank you,

Michelle

Kimberly and Kelley,

I was able to hear both heartbeats and I am going for a ultrasound on tues. Which was comforting. It makes me feel better to hear that you have both had a similar issue. Well now I can go back to worrying about the 4 million other things : )

Thank you!

Baby B,

I was so sick. I took only one Benadryl and one tylenol evry six or so hours and that worked wonders. And I was in pretty bad shape...I looked like I could have been an extra in the movie Outbreak : ) FYI my Dr. seemed hesitant towards the sudafed although it seems most other Dr. said it ...

Hi,

Thank you for all the suggestions. I spoke with the nurse today and she said Tylenol, Plain Robitussin, and Benadryl were all safe to take. I have used the saline but that has not helped that much with this cold. It usually works when I am just a bit congested. Going back to bed now ...

Bad Cold..Is there anything I can take?

Hi,

I have a terrible cold and I don't want to bother my DR on Sunday. Is there any cold medicine that people were told was ok to take. I am in my 23rd week with twins. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Michelle

Hi Kristie,

Please don't be discouraged. Many women who don't do IVF have miscarriages and will never even realize it because it was early on. We know about the pregnancy at a very early stage so it seems like the rates are higher. The miscarriage rates drop dramatially after you hit the 12th week ...

Hi Jemima,

Alan Beer does research on immune and blood clotting issues that can effect success rates. I am in NY and my clinic actually sends specialized blood work to his clinic in CA. It might be a helpful book. The more questions you ask your DR the better. I would question the fact that your DR ...

Nuchal test on twins-exactly the same results?

Hi,

I am having fraternal twins-IVF. I got my results back for the Nuchal test and they were exactly the same for both babies. I don't know how this is possible since the neck measurements should be different on each baby. Also my results were 1/563 for downs and 1/10,000 for Trisomy. I guess I am ...

Thank you for the replies! It is so exciting to hear about everyone finding out. Also it is very encouraging that everyone with multiples sounds like they got a boy and a girl. There is a teeny tiny part of me that wishes I could hold out for a surprise but since I can barely wait another 4 weeks I ...

How soon were you able to find out the sex of the baby?

Hi,

I need to set up an ultrasound between weeks 16-18. I am hoping to find out the sex then, but not sure if that it still too early. I was wondering when other people were able to find out.

Thank you,

Michelle

Deli Meats- eat only if they are heated up.
Smoked fish-Lox and whitefish
Pate-chopped liver..sure this won't be hard for most to skip
Sprouts-I was really surprised about that one
Be careful of Red Raspberry leaf tea since it can cause early contractions

My Dr. said if I was going to a really high ...

Yarnista,

I am so sorry you lost one of your twins. I am on Metformin for PCOS (1500 mg a day)and I was told by my ER to stop taking it at 12 weeks. I think it is pretty standard to take it until the the end of the 1st trimester but it sounds like most Docs recommend stopping after that. I am ...

Just try to take it easy....I know easier said than done : ) I read and watched tons of movies. Although I broke down pretty early and took a HPT. We transferred 4 embryos. This was most likely going to be our last cycle and we are never able to freeze any leftover. Also the last time we ...

Hi Jennifer.

I have been at Columbia since August 2006. After 3 cycles I got a BFP. I switched my Dr after the 2 failed cycles and that made all the difference. the Dr. I switched to was Dr. Guarnaccia and he was great. My first Dr. there was nice but I think she had too many patients and passed me ...
