Short cervix, quick labour?

I have just spent a week in hospital because of a short cervix (2cm at 30 wks) which is already thinning. Now home and on complete bedrest.
I have been told that having a short cervix often means that labour can be quicker. Does anyone have any experience of this?

Second placenta?

I have had a tiny bit of very light pink bleeding and my gynaecologist has discovered that I have a satellite placenta (that is what he called it an English, neben Plazenta in German). He hasn't really told me a lot about it, is just monitoring it and says that at the moment it is nothing to be ...

Tina0, Mkdig,
I am so sorry to hear your news. Give yourself time to cry and deal with the disappointment
Spoil yourselves and your DHs this weekend. I admire your strength in considering the next step already, I personally wasn't able to.
Take care and look after yourselves,
Jane

Hi ladies,
Thanks for your replies. My doctor wasn't too concerned about the blood. He said that when you vomit often the acid makes your throat sore and dry and this causes the bleeding. He is more concerned that I vomited three times in one day, if it carries on he says I'll need to spend some ...

Vomiting blood (sorry if TMI but worried)

Hi ladies,
Sorry if this is TMI but this morning when I vomited there was blood there. Going to call doctor - has anyone else had this? What were you told? Should I be worried?

Hi Tris,
I feel for you. I am into my third week of morning sickness which is pretty much all day except for about four hours late afternoon / evening. At night I eat dry rice cakes and drink fruit flavoured water, sometimes two or three times a night. Sucking ice cubes is also a really big help to ...

Hi Michellelynn,
We saw the heartbeat at 6 weeks 6 days, the heart was bigger than the baby! We were told that it was too early to hear anything.
It's a really exciting moment :D

Progesterone and morning sickness

I am eight weeks pregnant and have all day / all night morning (!) sickness. Some days I vomit more than others (sorry if TMI!).
My question is to all of you on progesterone - is the progesterone making your morning sickness worse or is there no link? Is is just coincidence? I'm interested to know ...

Hi Nerms,
Good luck and fingers crossed for your BFP :D
I would be very cautious about flying until week 13. From what I have read the flying during the first trimester isn't a huge problem but if you have horrible morning sickness there is no way that you would want to get on a plane - trust me :D ...

Hi ladies,

Keeping everything crossed for your two week waits :D
