Thanks for the replies guys :D and nice to see we can get BFPs even with quite a few immature eggs among the good'uns.

I did wonder if they affected quality so it seems not! Might ask my RE to prolong my protocol next time to see if it makes a difference, but like you say it could just be one of ...

Immature eggs

Hi ladies,

I'm going through my first IVF ICSI at the moment.

Well today I had my ER (not as bad as all that) and we were told we got 17 eggs after 9 days of stimming - sounded OK to me. The downside however was that only 7 were mature :?

Unfortunately my RE wasn't around so couldn't ask any ...

Hi ladies,

Hope everyone's well.

As for me, my first IVF adventure has just begun - had my injection of decapetyl on Monday. It's weird, I wasn't sure what to expect, but thought I'd be feeling a bit moody or having 'flushes' by now, but in fact I feel completely normal, no twinges, nothing.. A ...

Hi Cath and the other ladies,

Personally I'm doing fine. Getting ready for my ICSI in Nov. Saw the anaesthetist on Friday. No choice, you get put to sleep for ER in my hospital. Also picked up my drugs - the needle for the ovary blocker one looks enormous  .

Apart from that, feeling ...

Hi Julie,

Thanks for the reply and good luck wishes.

I reckon you're right in that getting an 'all-in-one' would be better. I was doing a bit more research on the net and now it would seem there is maybe a link between too much folic acid and autism, so I think I will go for something like ...

Hi ladies,

I'm a November girl too so hope I can join your thread. This'll be our first IVF ICSI and we've been through a real obstacle course to get here so I'm crossing my fingers for a BFP for us all. Just got my (long) protocole through - Gonal F + Ovitrelle - and am due to start injections at ...

Folic Acid AND vitamins

Hi ladies,

I'm preparing for my ICSI next month and the doctor told me to start taking a brand of folic acid tablet. When I told him I take vitamins which included folic acid already he told me to stop them and just take his tablet.

I'm a bit reluctant to stop my vitamins so thought I would take ...

Hi Beachbaby,

Thanks for your reply. I thought it would probably be to increase once BFP but didn't want to take any chances. Thanks again and good luck.

Hypothyroidism

Hi ladies,

I've been reading these boards for a while and will be starting my first ICSI in November. Was just wondering if anyone uses Levothyrox to control their hypothyroidism and has the answer to my question.

I know I need to increase my usual daily dose on confirmation of a BFP but do I ...
