My FSH is 13 and they had me on maximum dose Repronex and Follistim ( 2 amps and 600 units daily). I was a very poor responder to stims. The most I ever made was 5 mature follies.

I've had 3 complete IVF cycles and 1 was successful, resulting in my wonderful 4 year old little girl. Good luck!

The simple answer is no, there is no increased cancer risk for IVF patients. If you read the data on estrogen/cancer correllations, it is not a simple cause and effect, but much more complex. Here is a lay article that explains it...there are tons of them available. If it makes you feel any better I ...

Oh gosh, Tris, I am so sorry. How devastating for you. My sister now has 3 healthy children but has had 7 miscarriages....6 were in the first trimester and one was at 22 weeks.

Her husband is an md so they did testing on all the lost feti and all of them (except the 22 week fetus) had chromosomal ...

I am not Ghost but I do have a medical background and just asked this very question to my RE last week. According to him (a world renowned RE--has written books, PI'ed many clinical studies etc) there is NO danger to using all the meds.

He said they have 30 years of history with humans and numerous ...

Thank you, ladies for the support. Kabillion- I wish I had thought of that cancer comment on the spot!!!....but I'll save it for down the road in case she has any health issues. I was so shocked at her comment--and for some reason hurt. I'm not one to get upset by comments made by morons, but for ...

Due to my age, history and high fsh my RE implanted 5 embryos in my last ivf cycle. However he did make me sign a paper that said I agreed to do 'selective reduction' if I ended up with 3 or more. Due to my size (small boned) he was worried that carrying 3+ babies would be dangerous to both me and ...

BabyB-

I just sent you a pm. I am SO excited for you!! And even tho the loss of the third one is difficult, I think twins are perfect!

You of course would have managed with 3, but your pregnancy will be much easier and less risky with 2 PLUS you'll get to take your babies home from the hospital ...

Hi Tris,

The dark spotting is very common. I had it throughout the first trimester with my pregnancy.

I ALSO had evening sickness. I found that it was best if I always had something in my stomach, but not a lot. Too much in the stomach always gave me acid reflux, but a few crackers or cheerios ...

Hi Ladies,

Believe it or not, after a horrible nights sleep and major AF cramps, I am actually feeling BETTER. I know that many of you have been thru this same heartache which is evident by your compassion and that does give me solace. Also, I know that somehow, some way, we will have our second ...

For those of you still in the 2ww: Please don't read this. Its a downer and you need to stay in a positive mindset!!!

Hi Ladies,

It's 3:30 in the morning and I can't sleep. Thank you all SO much for your words of comfort. I can't believe how hard I am taking this. I KNEW it was going to be ...

Well Ladies,

Its official, my beta was 2

I thought I was prepared for the news due to all my negative HPTs, but I think somewhere in the back of mind I must have been clinging to a little hope because it really hit me hard.

I'm trying to follow Piggypebs example and have a positive ...

Rotobay,

One other thing I forgot to tell you, no it was not first morning urine. Not at all. It was this afternoon and the line was a little faint, but definitely there.

Misty

M- Yes I was totally confused on your cycle....must have been mixing you up with someone else.

Anyway, the trigger ...

Hmmm Misty, You had an hcg on Sat and showed a positive today? That would be a long time for the trigger to stay in your system. But if you test again later, and its neg, then you'll know it was the trigger. But where exactly are you in the 2ww? Was your trigger last Sat the 22nd? And is your beta ...

K- The first IVF cycle is often a trial run to see how you'll respond to a specific protocol. My first ivf was cancelled due to no repsonse (wasn't even converted to an IUI since I had no follies at all).

On my second cycle they switched protocols and drugs and I produced 9 eggs, 6 fertilized, 2 ...
