The luteinizing hormone (LH) is normally secreted by
the pituitary gland to induce ovulation. Until now, LH has only been available
as part of urine sourced menopausal gonadtropin (hMG).
Luveris is the world's first human recombinant LH. It
is indicated for use in combination with recombinant FSH such as Gonal
F and Puregon. Luveris is given by subcutaneous rather than intramuscular
injection.
