We got a bfn today, no great shock. Not quite sure what we will do next, I put our name back on the list for a full cycle in April and a consultation in November. I'm not sure I want to do anymore, we would love a large family but maybe we should settle for the lovely little blessing we already have ...

Birdie, I don't know how you stay strong but think this board helps a lot. I know I had good times, bad times and utterly crap times during my cycles. I found the second negative the hardest to deal with (not sure that makes sense) but you sort of assume that first time it won't work but second time ...

Hi

8th cycle for me, maybe not exactly what you want to hear

We also had a postive on cycle 5 but m/c at 6 weeks. Looking back now I can say that helped spur us on, just knowing that it could work.

Everybodys different, the right number of cycles is your choice and the right type of alternative ...

Hi Ladies

I think anyone who can put themselves through numerous ivf cycles are amazing.

It was our 8th cycle that we finally ended up with our lovely little boy, who is now 1.

I feel we are being greedy now trying for another and are currently on our 2ww.

The amount of cycles you can cope with ...

Hi Joanne

I also have severe endo and have been through 8 cycles of ivf but am happily now due my first baby on Monday.

Unfortunately my endo was so bad that none of it could be removed with the laparoscpy so we were left with only drug treatments.

At least on my last 2 cycles I was given Zoladex ...

Hi Nicola

I had this problem as well and it didn't matter what I added to my diet or whatever else I took (fibogel & lactulose) it didn't get any better.

My midwife suggested I switch to Spatone. Its a liquid that you put in your fruit juice, it tastes a wee bit funny but better than the ...

Hi Lorissa

I stopped the progesterone at the end of the 2ww as well and I am now 37weeks pregnant.

I had had a BFP before on a frozen cycle that ended in m/c and in that case I had been advised to keep pn the progesterone for longer.

When I queried this time they said that you just don't need it ...

I have this problem as well, although mine has never seemed to have disapeared.

I was all for having my tubes clipped or removed but the adhesions due to endo made that impossible.

I was told that the fluid can effect implantion and halve the normal ivf sucess rates.

Our consultant raised our ...

Hi Melanie

I have severe endo as well and am 37weeks pregnant with my first baby.

I was told that for me the endo affected implantation, basically halving the normal odds, this was due to fluid seeping into my womb from my tubes. They tried to clip or remove the tubes but when they did the last ...

Hi

Better late than never with a reply.

I'm pregnant after my 8th attempt, just a few weeks to go.....

Everyone is different, I'd decided that I wouldn't do anymore than 10. I think as long as you are coping, the consultants are still being positive and you are managing financially then why not ...

Hi Everyone

Happy Easter

Hope you are all doing well.

Just a quick post to say everything is fine with me. Our scan went really well, baby seems to be doing just fine.

Had a wee scare a couple of days ago, a bit of bleeding but got checked out and the hospital and everything was fine, no reason ...

Hi

Like you I have endometriosis and am now nearly 24 weeks pregnant after my 8th cycle.

My endo is severe, my tubes are also badly damaged which led to fluid seeping into the womb (forget the name for this).

Its my understanding that it depends where the endo is on how it effects the results of ...

Hi Samara

Both the egg count and quality varied with each cycle, but ours were never too bad.

One of my friends has just had a little girl after her 3rd ivf cycle, she had problems with the count and quality, her 2nd cycle didn't get any viable embryos but she got enough for some frozen on her 3rd ...

Hi Samara

My medical history is a bit like yours, endo, fluid in the tubes, m/c at 6 weeks. No problems with DH sperm.

IVF worked for us on our 8th cycle, currently 18 weeks pregnant. We had 5 full cycles & 3 frozen. I'm pregnant from a full cycle blastocyst transfer.

Plenty of times I'd thought ...

Hello

Thanks so much for all your words of encouragement last week after my rant...

I've finally sorted out a scan on 12th March when I will be 20 weeks but its at the private hospital, the nhs were not for budging on their decision (it is, however, the same doc thats doing it at the private ...
