Hi Poppet

i also live in England.

Angeinhull is right that where you live can determine how many, if any, free IVF cycles you can have.

I live in Oxfordshire and I wasnt eligible as we already have a DS. However, if I had a new husband I would be eligible. You need to get referred to an IVF ...

Hi sammycat
Congrats on your pregnancy!!

I'd advise you to have the Nuchal translucency scan. Not only do they measure the fold in the neck to assess risk but they can also tell by the formation of the nasal bone if there is anything abnormal eg downs syndrome.

Knowledge is a good thing....even if ...

Hi Dogzrule
One thing I learned going through IVF is that you musn't worry about stuff like this. I know women who have had all sorts of discharge during the process.
I am sure you will be fine. Sounds like your body is getting ready to support a pregnancy....fingers crossed for you.
Good luck!

Hi Dogzrule
I joined this forum when we had our first IVF in 2007 and I have dipped in and out. The women here are amazing, knowledgeable, supportive and above all, they know exactly what you are going through!
Good luck! I look forward to reading your good news story in the coming weeks.

Hi

I just got back from my scan.

All is looking good!

The risk of downs syndrome in a 38 year old is normally 1:170. After the scan they said the risk is now 1:914. HB was 164bpm.

I feel so relieved! The little guy was jumping and kicking so much then at the end he/she had his/her hand on her ...
